Operating within a fully integrated healthcare system, the facility provides seamless access to specialists, diagnostic services, and transfer resources, all supported by Epic EMR with Dragon dictation technology.

Advanced Practitioners – Hospitalist/Emergency
Job Details:
- Overnight APP Nocturnist position serving in an innovative Emergency Medicine and Surgical Services hybrid role
- Full-time or part-time scheduling options available with premium shift differentials on top of base pay
- Independently evaluate and manage lower-acuity Emergency Department patients including comprehensive history and physical examinations
- Perform diagnostic evaluation and interpretation of common emergency conditions
- Conduct minor procedures within scope of practice and reassessment and disposition of patients
- Provide appropriate consultation and escalation of care in collaboration with the attending Emergency Medicine physician
- Evaluate patients requiring surgical admission and complete admission histories and physical examinations
- Write admission orders and develop initial treatment plans for surgical patients
- Evaluate postoperative and surgical patients with acute clinical concerns overnight
- Coordinate with on-call surgeon and recognize and escalate patients requiring urgent surgical intervention
- Work in close collaboration with experienced Emergency Medicine physicians, surgeons, nurses, and APPs
- Excellent physician, APP, and nursing support within a strong team camaraderie and collaborative work environment
- Opportunities for professional growth and expanded clinical responsibilities within a large integrated healthcare system
- Preferred qualifications include graduation from an accredited PA or APRN program with current Connecticut licensure
- Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Hospital Medicine, Surgery, or related acute-care experience preferred
- Must demonstrate strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently overnight in a fast-paced environment
