Advanced Practitioners – Other Specialties
Job Details:
- Join a seasoned and growing team of APPs supporting 12 OB/GYNs and 11 CNMs in an inpatient OB/GYN setting
- Open to both Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners
- Day-shift role with a full-time, flexible schedule and no call requirements
- Responsibilities include postpartum rounds, discharges, and surgical care
- Perform FBC rounds and first-assist in gynecology cases including laparoscopic and robotic surgeries
- Assist with C-sections as part of the surgical care team
- Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial treatment plans
- Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs including referrals to specialists and other health team members
- Provide treatment within scope of practice and refer appropriately when needed
- Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License required (or eligible)
- Must be a certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
- New graduates are welcome to apply
- Dedicated support provided through the Office of Advanced Practice
- Established mentorship and orientation programs available for newly hired providers
