This is a Level 1 trauma center serving the Johnstown region, providing comprehensive neurological surgical services to a broad patient population. The facility offers hospital-arranged lodging and utilizes Epic for charting, ensuring a well-supported and organized clinical environment.

Opportunity:
Physician – Neurological Surgery

Job Details:

• Urgent need beginning September 4-13 with potential for ongoing locum support
• Shifts run 8a-8a with 24/7 neurosurgical trauma coverage required
• Round on approximately 10-12 inpatients daily
• Respond to STAT/Trauma consults within 30 minutes and regular consults within 24 hours
• Average of 3-4 new patient consults per day
• Must be Fellowship trained in Neurological Surgery
• Must be Board Certified through the American Board of Neurological Surgery
• Active Pennsylvania State License or IMLC with Letter of Completion in hand required
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 10 days
• Charting performed in Epic with a 30-minute call response time requirement
• Required skills include general adult neurosurgery, trauma, tumor surgery, stereotactic radiosurgery, VP shunt placement, and peripheral nerve surgery
• Spinal surgery with and without instrumentation required at cervical, thoracic, and lumbar levels
• Placement of ICP monitors and application of external traction required
• Nearest airport is Pittsburgh with lodging arranged by the hospital

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
