Job Details:
- Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner opportunity joining a large, vibrant, and growing hospitalist team
- Provide full-spectrum inpatient care including triaging, admitting, rounding, discharging, and addressing changes in clinical status
- Setting: Inpatient medicine, hospitalist
- Full-time nights with a flexible schedule and premium shift differentials available
- No call required
- New graduates are welcome to apply; comprehensive orientation provided by experienced Physician and Advanced Practice Hospitalists
- Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial treatment plans
- Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, including referrals to specialists and other health team members
- Provide appropriate treatment within scope of practice and refer cases outside of scope to the supervising physician
- Work collaboratively with physicians and care team members under established guidelines
- Utilize state-of-the-art EPIC clinical and informatics technology to promote improved patient outcomes and continuity of care
- Must hold an unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License or be eligible to obtain one
- Must be certified or board-eligible as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
- Access to dedicated support through the Office of Advanced Practice and established mentorship programs
