Job Details:
- Open to Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners to join a large, vibrant, and growing hospitalist team
- Provide full-spectrum inpatient care including triaging, admitting, rounding, discharging, and addressing changes in clinical status
- Full-time nights position with flexible scheduling and premium shift differentials offered
- No call requirements
- Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients
- Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs in consultation with physicians and care team members, including referrals to specialists
- Identify problems outside scope of practice and refer appropriately to supervising physician
- Utilize EPIC and state-of-the-art clinical and informatics technology to promote improved patient outcomes and continuity of care
- Comprehensive orientation provided by exceptional Physician and Advanced Practice Hospitalists – new graduates are welcome to apply
- Dedicated support through the Office of Advanced Practice for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
- Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License required (or eligible)
- Must be certified or board-eligible as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
