Opportunity:
Advanced Practice (CRNA) – Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Job Details:
- Provide anesthesia care across multiple surgical specialties including general, orthopedics, trauma, plastics, neurosurgery, pediatrics (ages 5 and up), endoscopy, NORA, robotic surgery, gynecology, and ENT
- Assess, prepare, and manage patients for anesthesia care in the perioperative and procedural period
- Develop and implement individualized anesthetic plans
- Perform history and physical examinations and obtain informed consent
- Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluations and post-operative assessments
- Administer General Anesthesia and Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC)
- Perform Spinal Anesthesia and IV Regional Block procedures
- Manage invasive monitoring and placement including CVP/CVC and intra-arterial lines
- Provide comprehensive airway management
- Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues
- Place central lines and arterial lines as needed
- Operate under medical direction with a CRNA to anesthesiologist ratio of 2:1 or 3:1
- Shift options include 10-hour shifts (8:30am–7pm) and 12-hour shifts (6:30am–7pm, with 7am start on Thursdays)
- No call requirement
- Minimum of 2 years of CRNA experience required and must be ready to practice upon completion of credentialing
- Active Pennsylvania state license required; IMLC not accepted
- Board certification required; ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
- Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days
- Nearest airport is Harrisburg International
