Opportunity:
Advanced Practitioners – Critical Care
Job Details:
- Open to Physician Assistants or Acute Care Nurse Practitioners to join a Neurocritical Care team
- Part of the nationally recognized Ayer Neuroscience Institute on a multidisciplinary team
- Care for critical neuroscience patients with neurological and neurosurgical diseases and related disorders
- Patient population includes complex strokes, skull base surgery, status epilepticus, tumor resections, spinal cord injury, DBS, and other complex diseases
- Rotate between the intensive care unit and stepdown units
- Inpatient, critical care setting with full-time schedule of three 13-hour rotating shifts
- No call required
- Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients
- Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs in consultation with physicians and care team members, including referrals to specialists
- Provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of practice and refer appropriately when needed
- Requires an unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
- Must be a certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a critical care or neurocritical care setting required
Compensation:
