This is a 249-bed acute care community hospital that has proudly served the residents of eastern Connecticut for more than 100 years. The facility provides comprehensive medical and surgical services including advanced diagnostic imaging, emergency medicine, cardiovascular care, cancer services, orthopedic surgery, and critical care, supported by state-of-the-art clinical technology and a strong collaborative team environment.

Advanced Practitioners – Critical Care
Job Details:
- Join a strong, collaborative team of Critical Care Intensivists as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in an inpatient critical care setting
- Provide holistic, high quality care to critically ill patients admitted to the critical care unit
- Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic diseases utilizing comprehensive knowledge of acute critical care conditions
- Perform procedures and order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Communicate with patients and families regarding their conditions and collaborate with a variety of consultants
- Conduct routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients
- Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, including referrals to other health team members or specialists
- Identify problems outside of scope of practice and refer appropriately to physician
- Full-time position with up to $30,000 in shift differentials on top of base pay, plus possibility for sign-on bonus
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience as an advanced practice provider in a critical care setting required
- Must hold or be eligible for an unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License
- Paid CME time off plus CME budget, with reimbursed professional licenses and dues
- Enhanced tuition assistance and higher education partnerships available
- Dedicated support through the Office of Advanced Practice and established mentorship and orientation programs for newly hired providers
