Opportunity:
Board Certified – Pediatrics – Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine

Job Details:

  • Provide comprehensive neonatal and pediatric care with 3-5 patient encounters per shift
  • Must be board certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
  • Active Mississippi medical license or IMLC required
  • PALS certification required
  • Estimated credentialing timeframe of 7 days
  • Manage Level III NICU patients
  • Perform and manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation including ETT, BiPAP/CPAP, and nitric oxide (iNO) therapy
  • Manage both acute and chronic ventilation for newborn and pediatric patients
  • Perform endotracheal/nasotracheal intubation in newborns
  • Placement and management of central lines, arterial lines, and PA catheters
  • Perform umbilical venous catheter (UVC) and umbilical arterial catheter (UAC) placement
  • Perform chest tube insertions and needle pneumothorax decompression
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including lumbar puncture, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
  • Perform exchange transfusions and hemodialysis catheter placement
  • Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues in neonatal patients
  • Attend high-risk C-sections as required
  • Perform X-ray and EKG interpretation
  • Suturing of minor lacerations required
  • Nearest airports include PIB, GPT, JAN, and MSY

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
