This facility is a premier cancer institute offering comprehensive oncology services to patients across the Pacific Northwest. The department consists of 17 beds and operates as a well-established outpatient clinic with a collaborative team of 15-20 oncology providers, ensuring strong collegial support and a well-structured call pool.
Opportunity:
Physician – Internal Medicine – Hematology and Oncology
Job Details:
- Full-time outpatient Hematology Oncology coverage with occasional inpatient weekend call responsibilities
- Providers will be scheduled for four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday through Thursday, 7:00am – 5:00pm
- Clinic is closed daily from 12:00pm – 1:00pm for an unpaid lunch break
- 11 patient encounters per shift
- On-call responsibilities include weeknight beeper call 1-2 nights per week for established Hem/Onc clinic patients
- Providers will participate in a shared 24-hour weekend beeper call pool for oncology inpatients, shared among 15-20 total providers resulting in very few weekend call obligations per year
- Minimum commitment of 4 weeks per month required; full-time continuous coverage is required – schedules of 2 weeks on/2 weeks off are not accepted
- Active Washington State license or active IMLC required
- Board certification required (BC only)
- Active DEA required
- BLS certification required
- Estimated credentialing timeframe is 60-90 days
- Vital coverage need begins October 1, 2026, though earlier start possible if privileges are issued sooner
- Long-term housing support available with pre-approval required; budget up to $4,000 per month
