This regional medical center is a well-established community hospital serving the Western North Carolina mountain region. The facility features a 15-bed department and is part of a broader healthcare network, requiring providers to credential at two hospital locations simultaneously while only being responsible for one facility at a time to ensure patient safety.

Physician – Obstetrics and Gynecology

Job Details:

• Major immediate need for July 6-10, with ongoing opportunities to be added to the provider pool
• Market position covering two hospital locations; provider will only be responsible for one hospital at a time
• Must credential at both hospitals simultaneously
• 4-6 patient encounters per shift in hospital, up to 15 in clinic
• NC Medicaid Eligibility is required
• Active North Carolina medical license required
• Board certification required; temporary privileges available with clean malpractice history and NPDB
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days
• ACLS certification required
• Manage low and high risk pregnancies
• Perform FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE
• Perform OB ultrasounds including Level I/Screening (viability), with performance and interpretation
• Conduct routine and complicated deliveries including vaginal and cesarean sections
• Manage complex deliveries including breech presentations, multiple births, and abruptions
• Decision-making for c-sections required
• Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations required
• Perform office and minor gynecology procedures including IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP
• Perform surgical gynecology including open procedures, laparoscopic diagnostic and minor procedures (tubal ligation, LOA's, chromo tubation), and operative/major procedures (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's)

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
