Opportunity:
Physician – Internal Medicine – Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Permanent placement position in Gastroenterology with approximately 12 patient encounters per shift
• No endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) expectation or requirement for this role
• Providers can begin once credentialed, with an estimated credentialing timeframe of 90 days
• Fellowship-trained candidates within 1 year of residency will be considered
• Candidates without a California license will be considered if they have strong ties to Orange County or California
• Perform upper GI endoscopy procedures including biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeding sites, injection of varices, and PEG placement
• ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic) preferred but not required
• Perform esophageal dilatation and manometry
• Perform small bowel biopsy procedures
• Perform lower GI endoscopy including flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy
• Perform colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision
• Insertion and management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube required
• Board certification required with ACLS and BLS certifications
• Target start date of July 1, with potential for earlier start if candidate is identified quickly
