This facility is a well-respected inpatient medical center offering comprehensive cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical services. The facility provides strong provider support and is committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a collaborative clinical environment.

Opportunity:
Advanced Practice – Physician Assistant – Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery

Job Details:

• Holiday and gap coverage needed with potential ongoing coverage through 2027
• Inpatient setting with clinic and call responsibilities
• Floor shifts: 7:30am to 6:00pm with 30-minute unpaid lunch
• On-call shifts: 6:00pm to 7:30am (beeper call on weeknights; 24-hour beeper call on weekends)
• 5-8 patient encounters per shift
• Responsibilities include rounding on inpatients post-op, first assisting in surgery, and seeing patients in clinic
• Required skills: Endoscopic and radial artery harvesting, interpret EKGs, X-rays, and labs, ECMO, IABP, and Impella
• Active California license required; licensed in CA only
• Active DEA required
• Board certification required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60 days

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
