Opportunity:
Medical Assistant – Outpatient Clinic
Job Details:
- Temporary position with a 6-month assignment, Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
- Under direct supervision, assist Behavioral Health Providers with examinations, treatments, and special procedures in a clinic setting
- Provide a blend of clinical and administrative support duties across multiple Behavioral Health specialties including Psychiatry, Therapy, and Substance Use Disorder/Addiction Medicine
- Answer telephones, greet patients, and explain behavioral health procedures and services
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
- High School diploma or GED required; completion of a Medical Assistant course of study as specified by the Medical Board of California required
- Completion of externship required by Medical Assisting Program and a minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant required
- Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification (American Heart Association) required
Compensation:
Temporary employment is available based on an hourly rate determined by the employee's experience level on a 0-14 year scale. Please contact us for more information.
