The division is actively involved in academic medicine through partnerships with a major university and teaching hospital, offering providers a dynamic environment at the forefront of surgical innovation and patient care.

Opportunity:
Advanced Practitioners – Other Specialties

Job Details:

  • Partner closely with a reputable plastic surgeon practicing within both ambulatory and OR intraoperative settings
  • Ambulatory and outpatient responsibilities include postoperative follow-up appointments and office-based procedures
  • Intraoperative first assist responsibilities include both reconstructive and cosmetic procedures, with a primary focus on oncology breast reconstruction
  • Inpatient rounding may be included on a limited basis
  • Required to be certified for first assisting in the operating room
  • Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday – no call or weekends
  • Consistent OR time with continual opportunities for growth and advancement in an academic plastic surgery department
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Master's program required
  • Must be licensed as a Physician Assistant in the state of Connecticut
  • Certification as a Physician Assistant required
  • Plastic surgery experience highly preferred
  • Surgical experience preferred
  • Prior experience as a PA highly preferred
