Opportunity:
RN – Outpatient Clinic
Job Details:
- Temporary RN Float position with an assignment length of 6 months
- Primary location is the Maternal & Child Health Center with float coverage required at multiple clinic sites in the San Ysidro and Chula Vista areas
- Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments including physiologic, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual and cognitive status
- Document pertinent patient information, nursing procedures, and patient responses in the medical record while maintaining patient confidentiality
- Implement patient care functions including sterile wound dressing/packing, urine catheter insertion/removal, and suture and staple removal
- Prepare and administer medications per standing orders and physician directives in accordance with established policy and procedure
- Manage clinic medication and supply inventories, including ordering and replenishing throughout the day
- Oversee autoclave processes to ensure compliance with audit and infection control requirements
- Coordinate immunization clinic workflows including excursion reporting and emergency vaccine management
- Lead efficiently in emergency situations following established protocols
- Experience in Primary Care, Specialty Care, Pediatrics, and OB/GYN is required
- At least 1 year of RN experience required; clinic experience preferred
- Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program required; BSN preferred
- Current California RN license required
- Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED certification (American Heart Association) required
- Spanish bilingual proficiency is required
Compensation:
