This 330-bed tertiary care Level I Trauma Center features a 24-bed emergency department with helicopter support and includes a children's hospital within its walls. Ranked among America's Top 100 Hospitals and Fracture Care Programs, the facility serves a regional population of approximately 500,000 and is certified as HIMSS EMRAM Level 7 for both Inpatient and Ambulatory facilities, with a dedicated EPIC EMR system.

Board Certified/Board Eligible – Orthopedic Surgery
Job Details:
- Cover orthopedic evening and night call from 4 PM to 7 AM at a Level I Trauma Center
- Approximately 180 weekday and weekend shifts per year with flexible scheduling options including two weeks on/two weeks off, one week on/one week off, or other agreed upon coverage models
- Supported by four fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeons with dedicated day and evening trauma rooms available 7 days per week
- Supported by 14 subspecialty-trained orthopedic surgeons covering oncology, hand, foot and ankle, shoulder, adult reconstruction, and pediatric orthopedic surgery
- APP group available 24/7 to support call coverage and handle in-house and outside patient calls
- No spine coverage required – spine calls are managed by neurosurgery
- No office or clinic responsibilities
- No hospital rounding required
- No requirement to respond to hospital codes
- Call can be taken from home
- Expected to see orthopedic admissions and high-energy trauma patients at the discretion of the general surgery trauma team who are in-house 24/7
- Hip fractures are admitted and managed by the hospitalist team
- Anticipated case volume of 0-2 cases per shift
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedics required
