The facility features a Labor and Delivery unit with onsite labs and ultrasound, a Level II Nursery, and strong midwife support, delivering 700-800 babies annually with 140-190 LD Triage visits per month.
Opportunity:
Board Certified – Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Details:
- Locum tenens OBGYN coverage providing in-house and beeper/phone on-call coverage
- 6-7 shifts per month with potential for more, 7a-7a schedule
- 100% inpatient practice setting with an average of 1-6 patients per day
- Perform routine vaginal deliveries and low forceps deliveries
- Decision-making for cesarean sections required
- Manage complicated deliveries including C-sections, breech, multiple births, and abruptions
- VBAC management required
- Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations required
- GYN call coverage required
- Midwives will take call and deliver their own patients; low volume of C-section patients
- EMR/Documentation system: EPIC
- Active Kentucky license or active IMLC required
- Board Certification through American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology required; Board Eligible candidates will not be considered
- BLS and DEA required
- Estimated credentialing timeframe of 90 days, with the ability to be expedited based on need
- Travel reimbursements approved for airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage at IRS rate
