This is a large tertiary hospital and Level I Trauma Center that opened a new state-of-the-art facility in July 2023, featuring 26 operating rooms and a high-acuity patient population. The health system operates multiple locations across the region, including surgery centers and outpatient endoscopy centers, providing providers with a diverse and dynamic clinical environment.
Opportunity:
Advanced Practice (CRNA) – Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Job Details:
- Medically directed practice working alongside collegial Anesthesiologists in a collaborative team environment
- Monday through Friday schedule with occasional weekend availability; 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts on weekdays and 12 or 16-hour shifts on weekends with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
- Average of 1-2 longer cases or 3-4 shorter cases per 8-hour day
- Busy surgical schedule covering all surgical types except transplants and pediatric hearts
- One-to-one patient care providing anesthesia in operating rooms, Cath lab, GI, EP, MRI, and CT as needed
- Caring for all patient age groups including adult, pediatric, neonatal, and trauma patients at a Level I Trauma Center
- Required surgical types include: Cardiac, Complete Ortho, Complex Vascular, Head/Spine, Neuro, OB, Pediatric, Regional, and Thoracic
- Required skills include: General Anesthesia, Spinal Anesthesia, Regional Anesthesia, Obstetrical Cases, Neurosurgical Cases (Head and Spine), Open Heart Anesthesia, Thoracic Cases, Complex Vascular Cases, and Complex Orthopedic Cases
- Additional required competencies include: Ventilation Management, Evaluation and Management of Acute Volume/BP Issues, and Arterial Line Placement
- Must be a graduate (Master's or Doctorate) of an accredited school of anesthesia
- Must hold current or be able to obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist in Minnesota
- Must be certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
- Current certification in CPR and BCLS/ACLS required
- Credentialing timeframe estimated at 45-120 days
