Physician – Surgery – General

Job Details:

• Provide weekend surgical coverage with 1-3 patient encounters per shift
• Must hold an active Texas medical license
• ACLS certification required
• Perform adult general surgery procedures
• Perform laparoscopic surgeries including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, and Nissen fundoplication
• Perform head and neck surgery, including thyroid procedures
• Perform chest wall and pleural procedures
• Perform breast surgery
• Conduct GI endoscopy procedures including upper and lower endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy
• Perform hand surgery
• Manage ventilation and perform chest tube insertion
• Perform central line insertion
• Vascular surgery experience required
• Facility is a Level 4 trauma center
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 3 days

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
