Opportunity:
Advanced Practice (CRNA) – Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Job Details:

  • Provide anesthesia services with approximately 4 patient encounters per shift in an ongoing locum tenens capacity
  • Must be board-certified with a minimum of one year of experience
  • Active New Mexico license required; reactivation accepted (new applicants: approximately 6 months; experienced providers: approximately 3 months)
  • Provider must reside 90+ miles from the facility
  • Must be willing to work weekends and take call
  • ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications are required
  • Must be comfortable practicing independently and performing regional blocks; case logs of blocks performed must be provided
  • Training for blocks will not be provided
  • Administer general anesthesia for adult and pediatric patients
  • Perform spinal and epidural anesthesia
  • Provide anesthesia for complex orthopedic cases
  • Provide anesthesia for neurosurgical cases including spine procedures
  • Ventilation management required
  • Evaluation and management of acute volume and blood pressure issues required
  • Providers must be enrolled in the NM Patient Compensation Fund (PCF) for COI purposes
  • Must complete CAQH Questionnaire and all credentialing documents prior to start date; estimated credentialing timeframe is 90 days
  • Any gaps in service, malpractice claims, or board of nursing sanctions must be explained in the presentation
  • El Paso is the nearest airport; Marriott and Hilton accommodations available

Compensation:
