This established medical center is a high-acuity facility serving the greater Albuquerque region, offering comprehensive inpatient and specialty care services. The facility features a 99-bed department with strong support for gastroenterology services and a Level 4 trauma designation, providing a dynamic and well-resourced clinical environment.

Job Details:

• Locum Tenens opportunity with an ongoing need to replace a permanent provider; locums to perm candidates are welcome
• Provider MUST hold an active New Mexico medical license – unlicensed providers will not be considered
• Provider must have an active NM Board of Pharmacy registration
• Provider must have a DEA that can be dedicated exclusively to NM – a facility DEA is not available; provider must supply their own
• Provider must be able to commit to a 7-14 day stretch – half weeks will not be considered
• Both ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) and EUS (endoscopic ultrasound) procedures are required skills
• Provider must have a 100% clean background – required for temporary privileges
• Board Certification is required; GI fellowship is preferred given the higher acuity nature of this role
• 15 patient encounters per shift
• In-house hours for rounding, consulting, and procedures are Monday through Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
• 24-hour call coverage required with call back between 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM
• Required certifications include ACLS and BLS
• Credentialing timeframe is approximately 90 days
• Nearest airport is Albuquerque International Airport
• Multiple providers will be accepted for full weeks only
• Available 2026 dates: October 12-18
• Available 2027 dates: January 18-24, March 22-28, May 10-16, May 17-23, July 5-11, October 4-10, October 25-31, December 20-31

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
