Facility:
This well-established hospital is a Level 2 trauma center with Level 1 pediatric capabilities, featuring 15 operating rooms and offering a full spectrum of surgical services. The facility operates under an excellent physician-led model supported by a collaborative CRNA group and a dedicated team of daily anesthesia assistants, with additional coverage options available at an affiliated Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Opportunity:
Physician – Anesthesiology

Job Details:

  • Provide locum tenens anesthesiology coverage on an ongoing basis, with full-time coverage requested 1-2 times per month or 40+ hour work weeks
  • Flexible shifts of 8-10 hours during days with call options available
  • Experience with cardiac cases including CABG strongly desired
  • Administer general anesthesia for adult, pediatric, neonatal, and trauma patients
  • Perform spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia
  • Manage obstetrical, neurosurgical (head and spine), open heart, thoracic, complex vascular, and complex orthopedic cases
  • Provide post-operative epidural and extremity block management
  • Perform epidural steroid injections for lumbar and cervical regions, including transforaminal approaches
  • Utilize x-ray guidance in performance of blocks
  • Manage ventilation and evaluate acute volume/BP issues
  • Place central lines, arterial lines, and PA catheters
  • Supervise CRNAs as part of the anesthesia care team
  • Apply pain management techniques including post-op care
  • Board certification required with active MN license or IMLC eligibility
  • ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Estimated credentialing timeframe of 90 days
