This is a well-established regional perinatal center featuring a busy 30-bed Level 3 NICU, offering a dynamic and collaborative environment for neonatal specialists. The facility supports a robust multidisciplinary team approach and provides opportunities for teaching and mentoring, including involvement with Family Practice residents and an upcoming OB/GYN residency program launching in summer 2025.

Opportunity:
Physician – Neonatology

Job Details:

  • Provide specialized neonatal care at a 30-bed Level 3 NICU with an average daily census (ADC) of 17 patients
  • Manage care for over 400 NICU admissions annually within a regional perinatal center performing approximately 4,000 deliveries per year
  • Participate in a combination schedule including 24-hour in-house coverage and 10-hour day shifts, with overnight call from home
  • Provide advanced neonatal services including High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV), nitric oxide therapy, and therapeutic cooling
  • Collaborate with a well-established team of 7 neonatologists in a supportive, collegial practice environment
  • Engage in teaching and mentoring of observational students, Family Practice residents, and OB/GYN residents
  • Support a multidisciplinary approach to neonatal care through close collaboration with obstetric and pediatric teams
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) in Neonatology required
  • Active New Jersey medical license or willingness to obtain required
  • DEA and CSR/CDS required prior to start
  • Clean malpractice and license history highly preferred
  • This is a permanent, full-time position requiring residency within the immediate local area; relocation may be required
  • Not accepting Locums or visa candidates
